Standard Maintenance

Regular inspections to maintain health, safety, and performance of vehicles are highly encouraged and often help to discover issues before they become a problem. Inspection areas include:

Computer system – check for stored codes and software updates

STANDARD MAINTENANCE ITEMS FOR EVS / HYBRIDS

Tires

Tire rotations help get the most mileage out of your tires and can save you money.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System resets (TPMS) help to avoid running too low or too high of tire pressure for even tread wear.
New tires are commonplace for BEVs due to the high torque. Be sure to purchase tires with the proper speed rating so that you maintain control, handling, and prevent premature performance failure.
Winter/summer tires in cold climates are a good idea to improve handling in inclement weather.

Fluid Exchanges

Brake fluid exchanges protect braking components and parts from early failure.
Coolant fluid (Hybrids, like the Prius, have two coolant systems, one for engine and one for inverter hybrid system). Exchanging coolant helps to avoid cooling system errors and damage to key components.
Transmission or gearbox fluid exchanges help to protect your drive system and maintains performance of your BEV or Hybrid.

Filter & Duct Cleaning or Replacement

Cabin air filter replacement cleans the air entering your vehicle, and reduces mildew, mold, and odors.
Engine air filter removes debris from entering engine and improves overall performance.
Battery intake filter cleaning or replacement (hybrids) prevents debris and dust particles from building up and restricting air flow to cool battery.
Drive motor battery duct cleaning or replacement (hybrids) like vents in your home’s HVAC system provide good air flow to cool the battery.
Refrigerant cooled HVAC system desiccant bag which are currently found on the Audi e-tron collect excess coolant seepage and should be inspected, emptied, or replaced as needed.

Steering & Suspension

Alignments improve overall handling and often validate tire warranties.
Shocks/Struts provide a smooth ride and improves handling.
Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) calibrations improve performance, enjoyment, and safety.

Lubricate & Clean

Underbelly pan should be removed occasionally to remove debris, clean, and inspect components that are hidden by the under carriage.
Headlamp reconditioning improves visibility when dark outside.
Hinges (doors and trunks/frunks) improve functionality and avoids you from replacing expensive hardware.
