PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Our History

Community Automotive Repair was birthed out of a faith-based group formerly referred to as "The Community" in 1975. The original owner, Richard Zaagman, repaired vehicles owned by members of The Community in the early 1970's, growing his support and skills. Members of this group became the first Community Automotive Repair employees, motivated by a collective agreement to trade their time for minimum wages, so most business profits could be poured back into the local neighborhood.

More specifically, it was important to those in The Community to care for families who had the greatest need. Those with the shared vision and mission came together to make Community Automotive Repair the successful shop it is today! And although The Community does not exist as it did decades ago, their efforts to transform a backyard garage into an 8-bay Bosch Authorized Service Center are evident in our success. We now operate with 12 bays.
